Tinting Base Paints
Base paints are the backbone of modern computerised tinting systems. They are designed specifically to accept precise tinting colorants and produce every shade with complete clarity, so you get exactly the colour you want — whether soft and light or deep and strong — with ideal hiding power and adhesion. Available in matt, eggshell and semi-gloss finishes to suit every taste and space, they form a solid base that ensures colour stability, fade resistance and a perfectly uniform top coat.

- Surface preparation: clean the wall well of dust, dirt and oil, and make sure the underlying layers (sealer and putty) are dry and sound.
- Tinting: tint the right base for the required shade on an approved computerised tinting machine, and mix the container thoroughly before use.
- Thinning & application: thin with clean water by 10% – 15% for the first coat and 5% – 10% for the second. Apply by roller, brush or spray gun (two coats for full colour and ideal coverage).
- Ventilation: keep the area well and continuously ventilated while painting and until fully dry.
- Personal protection: wear gloves, safety glasses and a dust mask while sanding and applying.
- First aid: in case of eye contact rinse immediately with plenty of running water for 15 minutes; on skin contact wash thoroughly with soap and water.
- Storage: keep in the original, tightly closed container in a dry, cool, shaded place away from direct sunlight, heat and frost.
